About the Role

The Sr. Fabrication Producer is responsible for the entire lifecycle of physical production, from concept to installation. This role acts as a liaison between creative vision and physical execution, translating design intent into buildable scopes while managing vendors, timelines, and quality. The position requires independent drive, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to anticipate challenges and align stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients and production teams to support new projects based on briefs.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality control in lead or oversight roles.
  • Lead junior fabrication producers on large-scale builds to manage scope and quality.
  • Build and develop budgets from initial concept, with independent budget development for projects starting at $1,000,000 and above.
  • Research new vendors and re-engage existing partners for quotes, including triple-bidding as required.
  • Collaborate with production teams to share key fabrication milestones and provide visibility into vendor updates on budget, engineering, timelines, and QC progress.
  • Provide fabrication context to decisions by working between project leads, producers, clients, and creative teams.
  • Value-engineer solutions in collaboration with production and creative/design teams.
  • Track smaller project details, including expenses, budget allocations, vendor scope, and payment terms.
  • Handle daily production tasks such as client communication, purchasing, scheduling, staffing, and vendor management.
  • Propose next steps, lead team discussions, and provide solution-oriented options.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships professionally.
  • Provide onsite fabrication oversight, managing crews, tracking labor costs, and visiting shops for quality control.
  • Approach every project as an opportunity to create premium work, develop client relationships, and build strong teams.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (40-50%).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in event production with hands-on fabrication management.
  • Working knowledge of SketchUp and/or other 3D modeling software.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Confidence in proposing next steps and leading teams from strategy to execution.
  • Deep understanding of experiential fabrication and the ability to anticipate project challenges.
