About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining dining room cleanliness, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper food and equipment temperatures. You will also assist with food preparation and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Take proper food and equipment temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and proper stocking of dining room supplies.
- Replace and stock beverages.
- Restock condiments and paper goods.
- Place food on trays, baskets, or dispensers for self-service.
- Restock grab-and-go areas.
- Remove trash to dumpsters.
- Clean tables, chairs, floors, trash, and service areas.
- Use commercial cleaning chemicals.
- Take ownership for the workstation and utilize student employee support.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Requirements
- Lift 30 lbs. routinely.
- Lift 50 lbs. once a day to 10 times a week.
- Stand for the entire shift.
- Stoop, bend, push, and pull throughout a shift.
- Walk distances between campus buildings.
Skills
- Computing skills for cash change, inventory, and portion calculation.
- Ability to read and comprehend product labels, recipes, and safety instructions.
- Ability to interact diplomatically with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in various locations.
- Ability to determine order and sequence of tasks with limited supervision.
