Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one lessons using KeepSAfe guidelines.
  • Provide vocal instruction (Group or Solo).
  • Provide other musical instruction.
  • Teach and/or lead Corps Brass Band and Singing Company.
  • Secure, organize, maintain, and provide constant upkeep of all equipment, instruments, and files of the Corps music department.
  • Facilitate student participation during “Music Sundays” (at least 1 Sunday per month).
  • Prepare students for Divisional and Territorial “Star Search” music and arts competitions.
  • Assist with logistics for competitions, including transportation, chaperoning, preparation, and leadership on the competition date.
  • Encourage and support youth participation in Divisional music and arts programs.
  • Ensure participants are ready for auditions, music camps, and conservatories.
  • Availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays after school hours.

Requirements

  • Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Must have basic office skills, including computer use.
  • Must have musical ability in Brass Band, Theory, Vocal, and other Instrumental Instruction (e.g., Piano, Guitar, Bass).
