About the Role

The Front Desk Associate role is an opportunity for the right candidate to engage with families, providing a welcoming, First-class Experience. This role requires a responsible, dynamic individual to manage administrative tasks for the medical team, aligning with the company's mission, vision, values, and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Greets families professionally both in person and on the phone.
  • Answers patient/family questions and seeks clarification when needed.
  • Accesses empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Supports patient care quality initiatives.
  • Coordinates escalations and urgent issues for timely resolutions.
  • Collaborates with site leadership to manage complex patient issues.
  • Employs Core values to help patients, families, and team members navigate systems.
  • Monitors and manages patient flow throughout the waiting and registration process.
  • Assists families with initiating the self-registration process.
  • Stays current on workflows, responsibilities, and technology through distributed education.
  • Registers all patients and maintains accurate patient accounts with updated demographics, insurance, and financial information while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Manages and acts upon all incoming patient documents, mail, and correspondence.
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy of all patient accounts and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Performs opening and closing duties including organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling.
  • Executes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Team player that can function independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules based on office needs.
  • May require travel to another site within reason.
  • Ability to calculate simple figures.
  • Comfortability with routinely shifting demands.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment and knowledge of medical insurance preferred.
  • Prior Front Desk, concierge, customer service or other hospitality experience preferred.
