About the Role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an Associate in the Litigation Practice of our Austin office. This is an exciting opportunity to train and work with a dynamic and nationally recognized practice group.
Responsibilities
- Work on a variety of complex commercial and business litigation matters including breach of contract, real estate, financial services, energy, fiduciary litigation, and other areas.
- Prepare for and take depositions.
- Brief and argue dispositive and discovery motions.
- Interface with clients and opposing counsel.
- Manage a myriad of deadlines.
- Work in a team environment.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of litigation experience.
- Strong familiarity with applicable federal, state and local rules.
- Highly motivated.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Diligent.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Interest and aptitude for preparing for and taking depositions, briefing and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, and interfacing with clients and opposing counsel.
- Mediation, arbitration, hearing and trial experience is a plus.
- Good standing with the Texas State Bar.
