About the Role
Raising The Village (RTV) is seeking a Chief Growth Officer to lead its global growth agenda, focusing on fundraising, strategic partnerships, and communications to achieve significant scale. This role is ideal for a competitive builder and strategist who can create a robust growth engine for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own a multi-year growth strategy to scale RTV toward $200M+, grounded in market opportunity and RTV's comparative advantage.
- Define RTV's strategic approach across funders, partners, channels, geographies, and financing structures.
- Own revenue performance end-to-end, including targets, investment, pipeline, forecasting, conversion, cost to raise, risk, and reporting.
- Personally originate, shape, negotiate, and close significant funding and partnership commitments.
- Translate RTV's model, evidence, and delivery system into a clear investment case.
- Partner with Programs, Evidence, Finance, and Venn to ensure external commitments are supported by implementation capacity and data.
- Build senior relationships with funders, government leaders, technical experts, and strategic partners.
- Build a rigorous revenue operation with clear portfolio ownership, qualification standards, forecasting, decision rights, learning loops, and accountability.
- Develop institutional capabilities in prospect intelligence, proposition development, due diligence, stewardship, communications, and executive engagement.
- Build and lead a high-performing, globally distributed, and cross-cultural team.
- Strengthen RTV's market position among global development leaders.
- Serve as a senior external champion for RTV in high-impact forums and relationships.
- Integrate communications and brand with growth strategy to build trust and support.
Requirements
- Demonstrated record of driving step-change revenue growth in a complex, mission-driven organization.
- Experience scaling strategy, teams, and institutional capabilities.
- Direct, personal experience originating, shaping, and closing large or strategically important funding or partnership commitments.
- Strong strategic and commercial judgment to identify and evaluate growth opportunities.
- Proven ability to build and manage a disciplined revenue pipeline, including forecasting, qualification, conversion, resource allocation, risk management, and accountability.
- Executive-level ability to connect fundraising, partnerships, communications, and market positioning into a coherent go-to-market strategy.
- Experience building and leading high-performing, distributed, cross-cultural teams through significant growth and change.
- Credibility and executive presence with boards, senior funders, government leaders, strategic partners, and technical experts.
- Exceptional written, verbal, listening, and public-speaking skills.
- Ability to translate complex evidence and technical information into a compelling case for action.
- Demonstrated humility, resilience, curiosity, sound judgment, and high standards in fast-changing environments.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%, including regular travel to RTV program countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
