About the Role
Join our collaborative sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Account Manager III. You will increase revenue and build lasting relationships with customers while representing our comprehensive portfolio of scientific products and services. Responsibilities
- Develops and implements strategy and tactics to increase test utilization and menu.
- Presents the value of testing to key individuals within target organizations.
- Grows market share by converting competitors using contractual options.
- Manages new customer instrument demos.
- Directs all customer contract renewals from start to finish.
- Achieves prescribed growth objectives and exceeds expectations.
- Protects against competitive challenges.
- Orchestrates the proper use of sales and marketing resources.
- Collaborates and runs new product implementations and instrument go-lives.
- Holds regular Customer Business Reviews to identify growth opportunities.
- Educates and drives awareness of optimal patient care using our test portfolio.
- Provides business insight and value to retain customers and improve relationships.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the customer and other Commercial personnel.
- Uses Salesforce.com to accurately monitor sales activity and keep account information current.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Minimum of three years’ sales experience required in Laboratory, Medical Device, or Diagnostics Sales.
- Capital Sales experience strongly preferred.
- Consistent record of success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong strategic selling and complex selling skills.
- Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office suite.
- Analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
- Results-oriented with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory.
- Fluency in English required.

- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
