About the Role

This senior technical role owns the overnight cut window, serving as both the Key 6 Administrator at the start of each cut and the Nighttime Lead for subsequent operations. • Run the cut window end-to-end for a team of 7-8 remote engineers.

  • Make go/no-go and rollback decisions.
  • Identify when a problem exceeds the team's capacity and escalate appropriately.
  • Guide non-network personnel through physical remediation over the phone.
  • Author, review, and execute Method of Procedures (MOPs).
  • Validate MOPs against target designs and device states.
  • Build and verify cable matrices, identifying errors before they cause outages.
  • Deliver a clean handoff and status report at the end of each window.

Requirements

  • Active CCIE or equivalent Juniper expert level certification (JNCIE) is a hard requirement.
  • Architect level depth across Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus platforms, and Juniper Junos.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of cutover or migration engineers through live change windows.
  • Hands-on MOP authoring and execution experience.
  • Cable matrix creation and validation experience.
  • Proven ability to guide non-network onsite personnel through physical remediation by phone.
  • Sustained overnight shift experience (11:00 PM to 8:00 AM CST).
