About the Role
The Office Supervisor will assist in managing, overseeing, and ensuring the successful administrative, financial, and operational aspects of an urgent care location. This role involves managing team members, supporting a patient-centric urgent care experience, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage site performance, including patient volume, registration delays, and follow-up needs.
- Assist the Practice Manager in preparing schedules for non-providers.
- Order medical supplies, medications, vaccinations, and office supplies.
- Open and close the site as required.
- Assist the Practice Manager with administrative and operational responsibilities.
- Build strong positive communication with providers and foster teamwork.
- Ensure staff professionalism, provide coaching, and manage staff development.
- Manage the team through interviewing, performance reviews, and promotions.
- Collaborate with HR on staff development plans and manage employee relations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with policy and HIPAA.
- Interact with patients and families at discharge, resolve disputes, and review satisfaction cards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of supervising or managing experience required, or a degree in management.
- Ability to successfully multitask.
- Good computer skills (PC, Microsoft Office programs).
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Comfortable with delivering constructive feedback and counseling management.
- Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Must work on-site.
- Directly manage site employees.
