About the Role
The Assistant Merchandiser & Planner will work with various teams in the New York office, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle from development to inventory delivery.
Responsibilities
- Run weekly selling reports including wholesale & ecommerce, seasonal selling, and aged inventory.
- Analyze business results in partnership with manager to prepare for weekly meetings and draw conclusions.
- Construct seasonal selling visuals of top and bottom sellers for internal teams.
- Assist with inventory level reviews and communicate updates to the sales team.
- Create and maintain accurate sku plans, buy plans, and marketing guides.
- Develop and maintain style set up in BC systems, ensuring consistency across brands.
- Assist in building wholesale/retail pricing structures and provide costing targets.
- Communicate daily ship mode direction to Production and highlight inventory shortages.
- Conduct periodic sizing studies to align inventory ratios with sales trends.
- Execute and pass off size breakdowns for orders to production.
- Proof catalog, web, and marketing collateral for product information and pricing discrepancies.
- Research competitive set including pricing, style, and key messaging.
- Assist with additional projects and tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn systems quickly.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Experience with PLM and BlueCherry systems is a plus.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects with adherence to deadlines.
- Highly organized.
