About the Role
Flexport is hiring an Implementation Manager to own and evolve the company's Implementation Methodology as the product suite expands. This role involves building the playbook for implementing ICP products, adapting it for new offerings, and driving implementation workflows independently. The Implementation Manager will manage cross-functional projects end-to-end and partner with Sales and Operations to ensure new business is successfully launched and delivered as sold.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the Implementation Methodology, including task definitions, personas, ownership, timing, dependencies, and templates.
- Standardize implementation outputs to span across customers, services, and new ICP products.
- Take ownership of implementation gaps for new products or services by creating playbooks.
- Partner with Sales and Operations as the client's primary point of contact through implementation, providing solutioning support.
- Lead implementation for new accounts and new business with existing clients, from award through ramp to steady-state delivery.
- Scope awarded business and build the implementation project plan, aligning various teams for execution.
- Own the critical path and readiness to support, ensuring delivery as sold and on timeline.
- Adapt the plan in real-time based on changing conditions and incorporate learnings to improve service level and quality.
- Report implementation status to leadership, flagging barriers early with mitigation plans.
- Close out implementations with project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive improvements.
Requirements
- BA/BS with 4+ years in logistics, supply chain management/consulting, or freight forwarding.
- Self-starter who identifies and resolves process gaps proactively.
- Proven track record of scoping, planning, and closing client-facing, cross-functional projects.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead client interactions.
- Sharp attention to detail and a proactive approach to delivering ahead of schedule.
