About the Role
UGL Transport is seeking a Pre-Contracts Commercial Manager to support the conversion of tendering opportunities by leading the development of commercial deliverables, ensuring alignment with company policies, and providing commercial advice.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of commercial deliverables for expression of interests and tender submissions, ensuring competitiveness, accuracy, and profitability.
- Ensure tender submissions align with UGLT policies, including conducting risk assessments of contract terms and conditions.
- Provide input into commercial advice and recommendations to bid and senior management teams.
- Develop procurement strategies for subcontract packages and negotiate terms.
- Support the preparation of client departures in conjunction with legal teams, identifying and assessing risks during the tender process.
- Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and departures with clients, JV partners, and key subcontractor packages.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven, extensive experience in commercial management, specifically within pre-contracts/bidding.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management, or Business.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of contracts.
