About the Role

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House seeks an Assistant Teacher for its Early Childhood Center to support classrooms and contribute to a model program for innovation in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Supporting classrooms in the Early Education Center.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, with a CDA (Child Development Assistant credential) or a Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with children ages 3 - 6
• Sound knowledge of child development
• An ability to relate to children, staff and parents in a positive and constructive manner
• Daily flexibility and an interest in working in multiple classrooms
• Service oriented and committed to working in early childhood education
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Certain positions require more extensive background checks to comply with applicable laws.
