About the Role
As an Underwriter, you will play a key role in evaluating group insurance risks, supporting sales activities, and contributing to the profitability and long-term success of the business. Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of group insurance quotations, renewal pricing, and requests for modifications.
- Ensure financial agreements align with business objectives and that proposal wording accurately reflects administration and service capabilities.
- Participate in renewal presentations with existing and prospective clients, as well as their advisors.
- Support the development of junior and intermediate underwriters through coaching and mentoring.
- Collaborate with the Group Underwriting Manager to ensure underwriting tools and approaches support profitable business growth while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements

- Possesses strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Known for creativity, autonomy, and sound judgment.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or an equivalent field.
- Has 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Group Insurance underwriting.
- Has a solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced level of French proficiency is required.
