About the Role
This 15-week internship offers hands-on experience with meaningful projects, designed for high-achieving students interested in building a future with Labatt. The program includes onboarding, project ownership, learning workshops, exposure to senior leaders, intern events, and potential future full-time opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead a strategic quality improvement project focused on enhancing operational performance, process efficiency, and manufacturing excellence.
- Collaborate with managers, production teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand supply chain, manufacturing operations, and brewery operations.
- Analyze quality and operational data, maintain LIMS records, and conduct routine testing of in-process and finished products.
- Provide insights to troubleshoot brewing and packaging quality issues.
- Monitor quality control processes by reviewing performance data and QC records.
- Identify non-conformances and partner with teams to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Gain exposure to quality systems, laboratory operations, team leadership, and working within a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Build technical expertise in the production of Canada's most iconic beers.
Requirements
- In their 2nd or 3rd year of an Undergraduate Bachelor's degree, studying Food Science, Microbiology, or any science-related field, and returning to school in September 2027.
- Graduating in December 2027 or later.
- Bilingualism is an asset (Required in Quebec).
- Can legally work in Canada.
- Of legal drinking age (18+ in AB, MN & QC and 19+ everywhere else).
- Geographical & Functional mobility for a future Full-time position is a requirement – open to experiencing different functions and locations across Canada.
