About the Role
This is a Business Systems Analyst Intern position for a winter term (January to April 2027). The role supports the Sales Effectiveness and Productivity (SEP) Portfolio and reports to the Lead Business Systems Analyst. Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and returning to school after the internship.
Responsibilities
- Assist in analysis of business processes, systems, data, or delivery workflows to support product outcomes and backlog priorities.
- Assist with documenting and validating requirements using user stories aligned to product goals and value outcomes.
- Support Agile ceremonies and maintain delivery artifacts (e.g., Jira backlogs, documentation) to support continuous delivery.
- Assist with data analysis, validation, reporting, or model testing using established tools.
- Support testing, release readiness, implementation and operationalization activities.
- Communicate status, risks, and dependencies to delivery and stakeholder partners.
- May be required to support issue intake, investigation, escalation, and updates to stakeholders.
- Keep support documentation up to date (e.g., known issues, steps, and reference notes).
Requirements
- Registered students returning to school in January 2027 enrolled in a Business or Technology post-secondary program.
- Understanding of Agile ways of working.
- Understanding of requirements gathering, process analysis, data analysis and design techniques.
- Excellent communications skills (oral, written, and presentation).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within an Agile team environment.
- Knowledge of productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, Power Apps, etc.) and emerging technologies (e.g. AI tools) is an asset.
- Knowledge of investment industry and dealer back-office operations is an asset.
