About the Role
The Office of the CEO partners directly with the CEO and executive leadership to drive high-impact strategic decisions. As a Strategic Initiatives Analyst, you will be a pathfinder for the organization, uncovering signals in complex markets and building the fact base that informs strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor competitor announcements, earnings calls, investor days, and industry news, and flag what senior leadership needs to know
- Build and maintain the competitive fact base, including competitor profiles, financial and product trackers, and market data
- Pull and synthesize data from third-party research, financial filings, and industry sources to answer specific research questions
- Turn analysis into clear briefs, charts, and slides that surface key insights for leadership
- Support market sizing and financial models by developing the underlying data and assumptions
- Respond to quick-turn research requests from senior stakeholders and business partners, often on short timelines
- Use AI-enabled research tools to work through large volumes of source material and surface what matters
- Document sources and methods so findings can be traced, reviewed, and reused
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience
- 1 year of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, equity research, consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a related analytical field, including internship experience
- Experience with quantitative analysis in Excel
- 3 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, equity research, consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy
- Experience researching companies and industries using financial filings, third-party research, and industry sources
- Experience supporting financial models by developing underlying data and assumptions
- Experience building briefs, charts, and slides for leadership audiences
- Experience using AI-enabled research tools
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and manage multiple requests on short timelines
