About the Role
As a Field Property Adjuster, you will provide exceptional service to our policyholders by traveling to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and efficiently. You will also handle virtual claims countrywide using various platforms and software, with a focus on water losses.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of customer homes.
- Investigate property claims and interpret policies to determine coverage.
- Prepare estimates for damages.
- Settle claims promptly and efficiently.
- Handle virtual claims countrywide using platforms like Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
- Provide compassionate, clear, and committed customer service.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat.
- Negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
- Utilize estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of work in the claims system.
- Protect the company financially by executing policies according to agreements.
Requirements
- Residency within 50 miles of Rochester, NY area is mandatory.
- Ability to travel as part of job requirements.
- Willingness and ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one to two-story roof.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home.
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload required for remote work.
- Must join virtual interviews with camera on.
- Must have Valid Photo Identification available at the start of the interview.
- Must terminate all existing insurance license appointments prior to onboarding and not hold any outside appointments during employment.
- Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.
