About the Role

B&H is seeking Pro Audio Content Writers to create product descriptions, conduct research, and update website content for pro audio and related products. The role requires enthusiasm for pro audio, sound for film, podcasting, and technology, with a strong understanding of current gear, trends, and software.

Responsibilities

• Craft product descriptions for pro audio and audio-adjacent products.
• Research products and update the B&H website with new and accurate product information.
• Write copy for a wide range of Pro Audio items, including headphones, microphones, audio interfaces, wireless systems, and accessories.
• Involve in subcategory reviews and updates.
• Produce creative articles and product announcements.
• Handle external requests for product updates.
• Write material that conforms to current B&H style and standards.
• Organize and prioritize assigned products based on internal guidelines.
• Respond to update requests to correct or modify product descriptions.
• Stay informed on current market trends and technologies.
• Research and quickly learn about new products.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm for the current state of pro audio, sound for film, podcasting, and technology.
• Working knowledge of pro and consumer-level audio equipment.
• Experience in studio, sound for film, or live sound settings.
• Familiarity with matching gear to different levels of audio engineers and enthusiasts.
• Specific knowledge and insight on a broad range of topics, including brand comparisons, what engineers look for in audio interfaces and microphones, wireless audio technology, and podcasting solutions.
• Past studio, on-set, or live sound experience.
• In-depth knowledge of classic recording gear and its influence on modern releases.
• Understanding of wireless audio technology for multiple end users.
• Experience with a variety of digital audio software.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current podcasting solutions.
• Strong working knowledge and unfettered curiosity about audio.
• Ability to share information on gear and process with others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
