About the Role
The Fab Product Engineer owns product performance throughout fab manufacturing and testing. They investigate yield issues, bin shifts, and performance changes using statistical and electrical analysis, and work with process engineering to drive improvements.
Responsibilities
- Investigate yield issues, bin shifts, and performance changes using statistical and electrical analysis.
- Work with process engineering to drive improvements.
- Perform electrical failure analysis with SORT testers.
- Initiate deeper failure-analysis efforts.
- Support customer returns through expertise in fab processes and test flows.
- Define material disposition limits.
- Guide associate engineers and technicians.
- Assist business unit engineers with assembly-level and customer-related concerns.
- Develop and apply strong goal-setting, data analysis, and logical problem-solving skills.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control methods such as Cp/CpK.
- Conduct thorough physical and electrical failure analysis.
- Apply effective risk-management practices.
Requirements
- Engineering related BS degree.
- 5 plus years related experience.
- Prior semiconductor industry experience is required.
- Technical expertise in product, performance, data analysis, and testing characterization.
- Ability to organize and lead projects.
- Experience working with testers and SORT yield testing methodologies is preferred.
