About the Role
The Site Coordinator is responsible for providing daily support to four Problem-Solving Specialists, overseeing the quality of paperwork, purchasing air tickets, delivering rent checks, and handling finance needs to support clients at risk of homelessness. This role ensures data accuracy in tracking systems and coordinates staff support for outreach activities, intakes, and assessments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate client assignments and triage to ensure clients access needed services.
- Coordinate and support staff with outreach activities.
- Process rental deposits, first and last month rent, relocation travel costs, furniture costs, moving costs, gift cards, and complete financial reports.
- Practice and model professional customer service to all clients and providers.
- Ensure a client-centered and trauma-informed team approach to assist clients with exiting homelessness and accessing safe, dignified housing.
- Collaborate with staff to analyze information, situations, and potential opportunities for housing solutions.
- Oversee staff's daily data entry and reports within the HSH ONE system and address data quality issues.
- Develop and foster relationships with community partners for housing and other service referrals.
- Manage crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
- Work one-on-one with clients as necessary, providing Problem Solving.
- Attend staff trainings, meetings, and development activities in collaboration with the Program Manager.
- Ensure necessary materials and forms for daily operations are ready for staff use.
- Ensure all important documents for daily operations are available in Share Point for staff access.
- Manage and monitor the tracking of relevant and important daily data.
- Conduct business in accordance with the Mission Action Employee Handbook, exercising sound judgment.
- Treat each community member with respect and dignity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Background in and passion for working with low-income and immigrant communities around issues of affordable housing, land use, and/or immigrant & worker rights.
- Familiarity with these issues in the Mission District and San Francisco is highly desired.
- Understanding of intersectionality and the needs of communities impacted by homelessness in San Francisco, particularly in the Mission District.
- Strong commitment to housing justice, as well as inclusive and multi-cultural programming.
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Experience with crisis intervention, establishing boundaries, conflict resolution, and de-escalation.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with excellent provision of Customer Service.
- Demonstrated experience with critical thinking.
