About the Role
Supervises daily operations in the absence of a manager, creating shift schedules, assigning duties, and assisting at workstations.
Responsibilities
- Assists supervisor in coordinating product assembly activities.
- Plans departmental work assignments based on production schedules, specifications, and priorities.
- Assigns duties to assembly workers and leads department activities.
- Revises work assignments based on priorities and work availability.
- Explains and demonstrates assembly line procedures and techniques.
- Interprets specifications and work orders for workers.
- Requisitions, obtains, and distributes supplies and materials.
- Assists workers in resolving technical problems and advises supervisor of complex production issues.
- Prepares and maintains production reports, employee time and attendance records, and component waste reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- Previous experience as a Shift Leader or in a similar role in retail.
- Experience creating shift schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Confident problem-solver.
