About the Role
Nexus Family Healing - Gerard Campus is seeking a Therapist to join our Outpatient Services team in Austin, Minnesota. This role involves providing clinical therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families, utilizing a trauma-informed, strength-based approach. The therapist will collaborate with the community and providers to support client progress.
Responsibilities
- Complete required intake process and forms.
- Develop and complete the Diagnostic Assessment.
- Complete clinical documentation in compliance with program expectations.
- Develop and implement the initial Treatment Plan based on the Diagnostic Assessment.
- Conduct Treatment Plan Reviews at least every 90 days.
- Perform crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy as prescribed by Treatment Plan goals.
- Deliver therapeutic services within the parameters of the program’s structure, philosophy, and models.
- Meet minimum required hours of direct client contact and collateral services to meet billable expectations.
- Coordinate referrals for adjunct services in conjunction with the case manager.
- Provide case coordination with family members, other professionals, school staff, and community support as needed.
- Attend and participate in mandatory clinical supervision and team case consultation meetings.
- Complete education and training experiences in accordance with program expectations.
- Comply with all agency, state, and regulatory standards.
- Work as a productive member of a cohesive team toward a common goal.
- Identify and creatively solve problems and issues of varying complexities.
- Draw correct and realistic conclusions and make timely decisions based on available information.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in a behavioral science, human services, social work, marriage & family therapy, psychology, counseling, or clinically related field.
- If unlicensed and licensure is required, must be on track to complete licensure for a specific, related discipline.
- Currently holds a provisional/intermediary license for a specific track (i.e. LGSW, LMSW, LAMFT or LPC).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements.
- Successfully pass a DHS background check.
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
- Openness to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
- Excellent sensory skills (sight, hearing, speech) and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, crouch, twist, bend, reach overhead, maneuver stairs, and stretch.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle to necessary client locations.
- Ability to assist staff in proper restraining of youths if applicable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100+ pounds with assistance.
