About the Role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a senior project leader, acting as second-in-command to the Associate. This role involves leading and managing all team functions and operations, supervising design professionals to deliver high-quality schematics and layouts on time and within budget. The position requires managing all design project phases, including surveys, calculations, and selections, and playing a supervisory role in communications with various stakeholders. This includes directing construction administration and overseeing shop drawing processes, field observations, and reports. The Senior Engineer also assists the Associate with training, development, and project execution for the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Designer, with at least 2 years in a Lead Designer Role.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading engineering projects.
  • 4-year Engineering degree.
  • Professional Engineering License required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD & REVIT.
  • Proven project management ability, with demonstrated experience managing direct reports to strict timelines with multiple projects to meet deadlines under high-pressure environment.
