About the Role
Administer, monitor, maintain, and support Informatica PowerCenter environments across development, test, and production platforms. Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of Informatica PowerCenter components. Manage Informatica services to ensure platform stability and performance. Support and execute Informatica code migrations and deployments. Collaborate with various teams to resolve production and application issues. Monitor daily ETL processing, identify failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Provide operational support for Oracle databases and assist with SQL performance troubleshooting. Utilize Unix/Linux command-line tools for various administrative tasks. Participate in release management activities. Create and maintain operational documentation. Support incident, problem, and change management activities. Participate in on-call support rotations. Work directly with client teams and business users to provide technical support and communicate issue status.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, maintain, and support Informatica PowerCenter environments
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of Informatica PowerCenter components
- Manage Informatica repository services, integration services, domains, and application services
- Support and execute Informatica code migrations and deployments using Informatica Deployment Groups and Deployment Manager/Wizard
- Collaborate with ETL developers, database administrators, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to resolve production and application issues
- Monitor daily ETL processing, identify failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Provide operational support for Oracle databases and assist with SQL performance troubleshooting related to Informatica workflows and mappings
- Utilize Unix/Linux command-line tools to manage batch processes, scripts, file transfers, scheduling activities, and platform administration
- Participate in release management activities, including deployment planning, validation, and post-deployment support
- Create and maintain operational documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles
- Support incident management, problem management, and change management activities
- Participate in scheduled after-hours and weekend on-call support rotations
- Work directly with client teams and business users to provide technical support and communicate issue status and resolution
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience administering and supporting Informatica PowerCenter environments
- Minimum 3+ years of experience performing Informatica PowerCenter installations, upgrades, migrations, and platform administration
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter development, including workflows, sessions, mappings, and troubleshooting
- Minimum 2+ years of experience using Informatica Deployment Groups, Deployment Manager, or Deployment Wizard for migrations and releases
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems, preferably AIX and Linux
- Minimum 3+ years of experience writing and troubleshooting Oracle SQL queries
- Experience supporting production ETL environments and resolving critical incidents
- Experience working in a client-facing role with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with change management, deployment processes, and release support activities
- Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation, including occasional weekend support
