About the Role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks 4th to 6th year Associates interested in financial services litigation, representing broker-dealers and registered representatives in FINRA arbitrations and other proceedings. This role involves working on a collaborative, cross-office team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze issues and conduct research on sophisticated legal matters.
- Draft briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues.
- Participate in motion arguments.
- Prepare outlines and exhibits for depositions.
- Prepare for trials, including outlines and exhibits for direct and cross-examinations.
- Manage cases, including written discovery responses, document review and production, and working with experts.
- Work directly with clients.
Requirements
- Experience analyzing issues for, conducting research for, and drafting briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues.
- Experience in FINRA arbitration.
- Successfully prepared for and participated at motion argument.
- Prepared outlines and exhibits for depositions.
- Trial preparation experience, including preparation of outlines and exhibits for direct and cross-examinations.
- Ability to be strategic, analytical, and work directly with clients.
- Case management experience, including running written discovery responses, document review and production, and working with experts.
- Solid academic performance.
- Good standing with the California State Bar.
- Submit resume, cover letter, law school transcript, and writing sample.
