About the Role

The Information Technology (IT) Audit Manager role within Internal Audit supports the execution of complex technology-related audit engagements and assurance projects in North America. This role also supports the implementation of audit data analytics, integrated systems auditing, and digital-related reviews, with a focus on automating IT audit activity.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises other audit managers or auditors assigned to projects and provides coaching to staff.
  • Understands the company’s technology strategy, operations, and regulatory environment to identify emerging technology risks.
  • Assesses technology projects, business applications, and IT operations to ensure key risks are managed.
  • Develops testing strategies and reports on systems product delivery, production support maintenance, and asset and vulnerability management processes.
  • Develops and implements a strategy for ongoing assurance over information services through automated methods.
  • Identifies opportunities to automate testing using internal toolsets or by assessing available market tools.
  • Supports technology/data-related components of business group teams’ audits and projects.
  • Influences IT management teams on risk and control decisions to maintain a strong risk culture.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in information technology, digital, and data analytics.
  • Defines and proposes changes for information services audit units, maintaining records of risks, activities, systems, and processes.
  • Drafts and maintains coverage strategy for sub audit units and provides recommendations for the IS audit plan.
  • Liaises with the Corporate IT Infrastructure Audit team to ensure uniform testing of key risks and controls.

Requirements

  • Combined business and technology experience.
  • Risk and controls consulting experience in a Big 4 firm is highly preferred.
  • Technically proficient in internal auditing, governance, risk and controls, data analytics, and technology and digital.
  • Fully conversant with the COSO framework of internal control.
  • Advanced data literacy and digital dexterity.
  • Demonstrates skills in innovation, adaptability, leadership, stakeholder relationship management, and critical and strategic thinking.
  • At least 5 years of solid IT auditing and data analytics experience in a client-facing, matrix, project-based organization.
  • Experience typically gained through prior audit, advisory, consulting, or public accounting experience in a 'Big Four' firm or other large organization.
  • Ability to manage audit projects to cover key risks and controls.
  • Ability to produce meaningful audit reports that clearly articulate the position on risks, controls, and related issues.
  • Ability to meet Internal Audit’s operational targets related to budget, timeline, and quality of execution.

Salary/Compensations

  • 60,000 - 97,000
