About the Role
New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. This role is crucial in delivering precise and accurate diagnostic imaging results using cutting-edge technology and an interdisciplinary approach. Responsibilities
- Maintain and adjust imaging equipment.
- Calibrate MRI (MRA) consoles and peripheral hardware.
- Operate injectors with proficiency.
- Ensure patient safety using aseptic injection techniques and appropriate pre-screening.
- Address patient concerns throughout the procedure.
- Flush IV lines post-contrast injection.
- Accurately follow physician orders for imaging areas.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including medical history review and answering procedural questions.
- Shield exposed areas of the body to protect the patient during imaging.
- Attach physiological monitoring leads as necessary.
- Provide headphones for patient comfort.
- Properly position patients for imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate Degree
- Current state license
- CPR certification
- Minimum of one year of continuous MRI experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient care and safety
