Seeking platform engineers to grow careers and delight customers through a hybrid of project and foundational activities. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud platforms with a high degree of focus on automation and innovation.
  • Embrace modern ways of working and feel part of our customer’s outcomes as we group around activities in agile type sprints.
  • Continue to strengthen and bolster existing capabilities in platform engineering through a mix of professional training, certifications, and experiences.
  • Collaborate and influence iterative Capgemini offerings.
  • Actively participating in the professional cloud platform engineering community, contributing insights, and staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices.
  • Making significant contributions to team objectives, particularly in designing, building, and maintaining cloud based platforms and infrastructure.
  • Exhibiting a good grasp of cloud platform engineering principles and demonstrating expertise in areas such as cloud service providers AWS, Azure, GCP, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code IaC.
  • Expected to work independently on specific tasks, showcasing initiative and problem solving skills in tackling complex platform engineering challenges.
  • Beginning to take on leadership roles, which may involve mentoring junior engineers, leading smaller project teams, or spearheading specific aspects of a project.
  • Foundational knowledge of ESM platforms and processes, executive service improvement opportunities.
  • Assists in gathering and reviewing requirements and mapping to integration platform features.
  • Participates and actively supports business initiatives by building reliable, efficient, scalable and business-oriented solutions that integrate and orchestrate a complex portfolio of customer, partner, supplier, and Capgemini tools and solutions.
  • Implementing and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment CIorCD.
  • Oversee software and performance of the full technology stack.

Requirements

  • Experience in Databricks or Splunk.
  • Proven track record in platform engineering, particularly with: Azure/AWS/GCP, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and VCS (GitHub).
  • Demonstrate tangible experiences of end-to-end delivery.
  • Background in infrastructure and networking would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in an Agile manner.
  • Meet the minimum essential criteria for the role to be offered an interview.
  • Successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).
  • Requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
  • To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
  • Will be asked questions about security clearance eligibility such as country of residence and nationality.
  • Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons, therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
