About the Role
As Senior Manager, Relationship Marketing Strategy, you will join a team of talented and experienced marketers focused on helping Merkle clients achieve their business goals. You will understand client business and strategic goals, appreciate the importance of relationships, and become a trusted advisor. This role requires a blend of analytic and creative thinking to solve client problems and strong communication skills to present and execute ideas.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of strategic omni-channel marketing plans.
- Act as a subject matter expert, translating new technology (especially 1st party data marketing and CRM) into new marketing ideas for clients.
- Monitor current marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies to generate new client marketing ideas.
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with key client contacts and executives.
- Ensure meaningful client value through best-practice solutions and original thinking.
- Collaborate with team leadership (account management, operations, creative, analytics) and partner agencies to create executable plans.
- Identify data points and measurements to demonstrate the impact of strategy on client business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 7+ years of experience in data-driven marketing, specifically CRM, email, and online/offline media.
- 3+ years of experience working in an agency or consulting firm.
- Experience with Braze is advantageous.
- Experience developing solutions to support the sale of new services to clients.
- Proficiency in Excel (for maintaining complex spreadsheets) and research tools.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for translating data analysis into marketing recommendations and presentations.
- Comfort and experience working within a matrixed organization with a wide degree of latitude.
- Average 20-40% travel (contingent on client comfort level).
