About the Role
Northwest Tellers are key members of our retail network team, interacting directly with customers. They provide excellent customer service by welcoming customers, processing transactions efficiently, resolving issues, offering educational services, and identifying customer needs for referral to other business lines.
Responsibilities
- Achieve financial wellness activity goals, including identifying referral opportunities and contributing to office sales performance.
- Assist customers with questions, problem resolution, and other needs.
- Proactively engage with customers to understand needs and inform them of product/service features and benefits.
- Refer customers to appropriate team members for complex requests or services.
- Actively engage with and greet customers, taking ownership to resolve issues or concerns.
- Balance teller drawer daily and participate in office meetings, operations meetings, and dual control balancing of vault, ATM, and other devices.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Complete assigned educational training and self-educate using bank programs.
- Possess general knowledge of office systems and software, perform maintenance, and have in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, and digital offerings.
- Adhere to all security and dual control processes.
- Participate in branch opening and closing tasks as needed.
- Protect the bank from unnecessary risk by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with co-workers to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism.
- Work evening hours and weekends as scheduled or necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies, procedures, and Federal/State regulations.
- Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and department-specific software.
- Work as part of a team.
- Work with on-site equipment.
