About the Role
We are looking for a Sales & Service Assistant to join our National team in the Group Benefits Business Development area. In this role, you will be primarily accountable for providing support for business acquisition and retention activities to the Business Development team.
Responsibilities
- Support Account Executives and Service Specialist/Consultants
- Coordinate and respond to inquiries and requests for information from Clients, Advisors and Consultants (email inquiries and requests)
- Update and ensure internal reporting and tracking tools are maintained with accurate and up to date information including data entry
- Compose and/or prepare various correspondence and presentations
- Request and prepare various reports for advisors and clients
- Compile relevant information for renewals
- Process of simple revisions for clients
- Works in close collaboration with other business areas (ex. underwriting, disability, group operations, etc.)
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- In office responsibilities as required
- Order promotional and business supplies
- Event planning
Requirements
- 1-2 years relevant work experience in office administration and client services
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, specifically manipulating reports using Pivot Tables and V-look ups
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing requests/ tasks
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Familiarity with AI capabilities
- Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understands client needs and identifies solutions to non-standard requests
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high functioning team
- Relationship building/management skills
