About the Role
Northgate Health Care Facility is seeking a Laundry Aide to ensure residents and departments have clean linens and clothing while supporting a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized and enjoy making a difference behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available and distributed to departments throughout the facility
- Label and process resident personal clothing and return clean items to appropriate rooms and storage areas
- Operate laundry equipment safely and maintain proper chemical supplies for laundry operations
- Weigh, track, and process laundry according to facility procedures and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned cleaning tasks
- Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards promptly
- Follow HIPAA, infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to safely lift, carry, sort, and process laundry throughout the workday
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and resident-centered environment
- Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
