About the Role
Circle Surrogacy is seeking a Screening Social Worker to combine clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills in a fast-paced business environment. This role is critical to the company’s business operations and vital to Circle’s superior customer service and support to our clients, offering opportunities beyond a traditional social work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full psychosocial evaluations with surrogacy candidates and their primary support person.
- Assess candidate's psychosocial suitability for surrogacy.
- Document findings in an assessment.
- Create a profile for intended parents to review during the matching process.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to fully assess candidacy.
- Produce thorough written assessments promptly.
- Review candidate files to prepare for screening assessments.
- Coordinate and conduct video/phone psychosocial assessments with surrogate applicants and their primary support person.
- Produce written assessments and profiles for candidates to be used in the matching process with intended parents and for purposes related to the IVF process.
- Provide psychoeducation around surrogacy process and expectations for Circle surrogates.
- Collaborate closely with the intake and matching teams to ensure a smooth transition for the surrogate candidate throughout the screening process.
- Document important data in agency database and provide weekly/monthly/annual reports as requested.
- Act as a contributing team player to the Social Work team, participating in regular case review meetings and collaborating to meet team goals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution desired.
- Successful completion of ASWB Master level examination.
- Licensure in good standing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask/prioritize.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive work deadlines.
- Team player; comfortable working in an interdisciplinary environment and collaborating with others on a regular basis.
- Work experience in adoption/IVF/ third-party reproduction.
