About the Role
The Architectural Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of architectural scopes for major transit infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of architectural works for assigned stations and facilities.
- Develop, maintain, and update project plans, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly cost and progress reports.
- Monitor project milestones, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Track project performance and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation.
- Provide regular project updates and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee and coordinate architectural construction activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections.
- Oversee the procurement and selection of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Manage subcontractor performance.
- Organize and facilitate weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors.
- Ensure all architectural works are completed in accordance with project milestones and operational requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, design, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Work with the Design Team to ensure the timely availability of technical information and drawings.
- Manage and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) and facilitate timely resolution of technical issues.
- Administer and coordinate change orders.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure effective project integration and coordination.
- Support communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
- Foster a strong culture of health, safety, environmental stewardship, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.
- Manage, mentor, and develop project team members.
- Coordinate the resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Identify and escalate issues related to safety, quality, schedule, cost, or project performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing architectural construction projects, preferably within large-scale infrastructure, transit, or transportation projects.
- Strong understanding of architectural systems, construction methodologies, project controls, and project management principles.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, project budgets, schedules, change management processes, and project reporting.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction health, safety, environmental, and quality management requirements.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities in complex and fast-paced construction environments.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with project management software, construction management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
