About the Role
This is a part-time content marketing internship opportunity focused on learning content creation, optimization, and management within the tourism sector. The internship is designed to provide practical experience and can be used for college credit or professional development.
Responsibilities
- Writing unique, AI-proof content
- Photo editing and optimization
- Managing editorial content calendars
- Utilizing CMS platforms like WordPress
- Applying SEO principles to content marketing
- Utilizing AI for research and content drafting
- Creating timely articles about upcoming events, business openings, and regional news
- Researching, writing, and publishing evergreen content to promote local tourism
- Resizing and optimizing photos for online articles, guides, and blog posts
- Coordinating image permissions and utilizing proper citations
- Following a style guide to adopt appropriate writing style and tone
- Monitoring and assisting with events calendar management
- Editing user-submitted events and creating enhanced event build-outs
- Assisting the team with a variety of tasks
- Performing administrative duties including data entry
- Keeping task lists current and populated with notes
- Daily time clocking and tracking of assignments
Requirements
- Must be a college freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or grad student
- Strong regional knowledge of the Capital/Saratoga Region and/or the Adirondacks
- Must be located in one of the regions of Upstate New York: Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Lake George, and/or the Adirondacks
- Must provide connection to the area in cover letter
