About the Role
Join our growing Maintenance Operations Team as a full-time Maintenance Technician. This position is eligible for our brand new "Texas Stay Program", which is designed to reward commitment, celebrate milestones, and financially support RPS new-hires along the way!
Responsibilities
- Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
- Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
- Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
- Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
- Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
- Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
- Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
- Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
- Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
- Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
- Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Skills
- EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Salary/Compensations
- Competitive base hourly pay
- Up to $3,000.00 during initial first year with RPS (Texas Stay Program)
- $500.00 after 90-days
- $1,000.00 after 6 months
- $1,500.00 after one year of service
