About the Role

This role will play a key part in the continued development of our offering to clients, driving and building key relationships across the market to satisfy client needs and grow the account. It requires strong collaboration across Allianz Commercial to create opportunities in the mid and large corporate space, including multinational aspects. The role demands strong technical underwriting knowledge in Property and/or Casualty lines, responsibility for underwriting key accounts, driving new business growth, and acting as a senior authority holder.

Responsibilities

Act as a Senior Authority holder focused on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature
Provide excellent service to customers
Build and develop successful Broker relationships
Be visible in the local market, thriving on face-to-face contact with brokers and end customers
Develop business relationships with key clients
Achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets
Collaborate strongly with other departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery

Requirements

Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and/or casualty writing >£500k business
Proven track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks
Capable of leveraging data and analytics
Strong leadership capabilities
Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator
Proven experience in handling large cases
Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships
Achievement-oriented, able to organize own workload to meet tight deadlines with a positive attitude
A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
Confident and engaging communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others
Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
