About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Project Engineer for Steam Turbine / Heat Recovery Steam Generator (ST/HRSG) roles. This position provides technical project management, direction, and coordination of engineering activities for Outage and Turnaround (OTR)-related issues. The role serves as the technical liaison between the Customer and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) representatives to ensure contract compliance and drive continuous improvement in project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for customer technical inquiries, change requests, and communications related to ST and/or HRSG.
  • Drive lessons learned back into design engineering organizations.
  • Provide technical guidance to Project Management and Customer Applications Engineering.
  • Conduct Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs).
  • Review contract documentation and communicate project requirements to design functions.
  • Evaluate financial/schedule impacts of customer-requested scope changes.
  • Support resolution of cross-functional design complexities and technical issues.
  • Mitigate engineering schedule issues and prevent delivery delays.
  • Manage the Engineering Budget and provide quarterly Estimate at Completions (EACs).
  • Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation personnel.
  • Present project issue resolutions to upper management, highlighting risks and creating action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university (Preferably in Mechanical, Civil, Process, Chemical, or Aeronautical Engineering).
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, execution, and process rigor.
  • Open-minded, self-motivated, and empowered to challenge thinking.
  • Demonstrated capability in collaborating within a team and with customers.
  • Ability to rapidly shift priorities based on business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and transparent communication.
  • Capable of breaking down complex problems and executing to solution.
  • Possess a continuous improvement (Lean) mindset.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS, NX, Python, VBA, and other analytical tools.
  • Passion for innovative mechanical and aero-thermal design.
