About the Role
This role involves balancing and auditing daily revenues, preparing financial reports, and assuming managerial duties during specific shifts. It also includes guest services such as check-in/check-out, handling complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Balance and audit room revenue and food and beverage revenue for accuracy.
- Prepare all reports relevant to daily revenues.
- Prepare various audit worksheets and Daily Flash Reports.
- Assume responsibilities of Manager on Duty from midnight until the morning shift arrives.
- Log guest complaints into the Front Desk Communication or Log Book.
- Register guests into the hotel and check guests out of the hotel.
- Balance and audit room and tax charges, cashiers reports, and guest and house accounts for accuracy.
- Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
- Prepare customer tracking report, market segmentation report, and food and beverage revenue report.
- Communicate with other hotel departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and exchange information.
- Perform all Guest Service Representative functions.
- Assist in booking room reservations.
- Answer hotel phone calls and notify guests of messages.
- Facilitate proper security of department keys.
- Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner.
- Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Handle confidential information, including guest records, with integrity.
- Make daily deposits.
- Verify room charges and rates.
- Verify register has appropriate starting cash.
- Manage daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report.
- Submit reports to the corporate office.
- Monitor room availability.
- Block rooms and handle guest requests.
- Perform and document security walks on a regular basis.
- Implement emergency procedures.
- Prepare continental breakfast on time and replenish items as needed.
- Perform laundry functions as directed.
- Make management decisions in the manager's absence.
- Provide a professional image through appearance and dress.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
