About the Role

Parla is a New York-style pizza and Italian-inspired cocktail bar from the team behind The Smith. It offers a menu centered around pizzas and pastas, complemented by a bar specializing in espresso, wine, and cocktails. Parla aims to bring together great conversation with the joy of pizza.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
• Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
• Prepare food to Parla’s specifications
• Responsible for food preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Set up a station for service by chopping, butchering, preparing, and/or stocking station
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow CDC’s or Sous Chef’s instructions
• Clean up station during and at the end of service
• Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

Requirements

• 2-years of experience in a fast-casual dining environment
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
• Previous experience as a pizza cook or in a similar role preferred
