About the Role

Carnegie Hall seeks a Retail & Visitor Services Associate to support Retail Operations and the Visitor Services and Volunteers Department. This role involves public-facing interactions, administrative tasks, and managing daily group tour operations, information desk support, and gift shop sales.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate public and private group tours, coordinating with House Management, Box Office, and docents.
  • Provide directions and instructions to large groups in the lobby.
  • Manage the Information Desk and volunteers onsite.
  • Maintain the Box Office Lobby space for tour operations.
  • Assist with in-person and online gift shop sales and daily cash accounting.
  • Stock, arrange, and organize merchandise daily.
  • Oversee and coordinate artist merchandise and CD/book signing events.
  • Perform administrative duties, including processing interdepartmental transfers and updating the Tours Hotline.
  • Respond to customer service queries, private tour operator, and volunteer inquiries via chat, email, and phone.
  • Complete additional administrative and clerical tasks as needed.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Flexible schedule with daytimes, evenings, and weekend shifts; Saturday availability required.
