About the Role

The Maintenance Specialist ensures the continuous and efficient operation of facility equipment and infrastructure by performing routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing building and grounds equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards, thereby supporting overall operational function and facility reliability. Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, refrigeration systems, plumbing, hydraulics, and grounds equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues using mechanical aptitude and hand tools and execute timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Collaborate with facility management team and other departments to schedule maintenance activities that align with needs.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to restore equipment functionality and ensure workplace safety.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, including use of hand tools and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, plumbing, hydraulics, and equipment maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Valid driver’s license and ability to comply with safety regulations.
