About the Role
DoorDash is seeking a Sales Strategy professional to execute business objectives and help define the sales strategy and planning roadmap. This role involves designing quotas and incentives, integrating new products into go-to-market strategies, forecasting, and ensuring key metrics are tracked for commissions. The role supports the US SMB Presales organization, focusing on quota attainment, goaling accuracy, and rep productivity.
Responsibilities
- Own the development, implementation, and administration of new and existing sales incentive structures.
- Build and maintain complex forecast models in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Continuously assess business performance, drive diagnostics, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Set and track accurate quota targets across various Sales Organizations.
- Incorporate new products into Sales Organizations by partnering to design GTM Strategy and goals/incentives.
- Translate data into effective narratives for cross-functional business partners.
- Create compelling and accurate visualization reports for sales commissions and business performance insights.
- Focus on improving standardization and automation of quota, incentive design, and attainment/commissions tracking processes.
- Become the subject matter expert on sales data and incentives, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sales process.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in sales/business planning, strategy & operations, business consulting, or analytics.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Excellent analytical thinking with the ability to deliver actionable recommendations from complex datasets.
- SQL experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce/Excel.
- Expert communication and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias towards action and ownership mentality.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.
- Naturally curious with a desire to innovate and improve.
- Relationship-builder capable of influencing and motivating people at all levels.
- Problem solver able to independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
- Proven user and explorer of AI tooling to drive efficiency and improved processes.
- Experience building in AI tooling (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and shipping real automation.
- Thinks in systems, not features; treats broken processes as build opportunities and data gaps as use cases.
