About the Role
This position supports the City in its labor negotiations with over 30 unions and more than 35,000 employees. It offers exposure to labor law, labor negotiations, and working for the City and County of San Francisco. The role provides costing support for a management bargaining team, coordinating with various city offices.
Responsibilities
- Costing and evaluating the merits of union and City proposals.
- Performing salary surveys.
- Drafting and interpreting contract language.
- Analyzing information and succinctly summarizing using charts and matrixes.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Excel.
- Ability to use and query databases.
- Strong math, statistics and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and shift directions rapidly.
- Can operate effectively with a very low margin of error.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.

Experience Level
- Professional personnel experience performing duties equivalent to those of City class 1280 Employee Relations Representative must substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Education Level
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Master’s degree in public or business administration, management, business law, contract law, public policy, urban studies, economics, statistical analysis, finance, accounting or other closely related fields of study is preferred.
Salary/Compensations
- $120,796 - $169,858 annually
