About the Role
Provide high-quality customer service, operate cash registers, handle various customer transactions, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Customer Service Desk and front store area.
Responsibilities
- Operate electronic scanning cash registers
- Receive payment for customer purchases
- Honor discounts and coupons
- Assist customers with Loyalty Program questions or sign-ups
- Bag items
- Operate machines to sell money orders, lotto tickets, and transfer funds by wire
- Process customer returns
- Sell gift cards and lotto tickets
- Handle other transactions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the Customer Service Desk and front area of the store
- Replace stock in display areas
- Adhere to the uniform and grooming policy
Requirements
- Prior customer service skills or related experience
- Ability to operate electronic scanning cash registers and machines for counting money, wire transfer processing, and lottery
- Ability to handle stressful and complex situations calmly and professionally
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Ability to work independently as well as within a large team
- Ability to provide regular and predictable attendance
