About the Role
The Motor Winder's main responsibility is to assemble, repair, and maintain electric motors both in the shop and in the field.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair, and maintain electric motors.
- Test and rewind electric motor and generator stators, armatures, or rotors.
- Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reason(s) for failure.
- Provide information on parts/work required.
- Provide recommendations to improve reliability of equipment.
- Observe and adhere to Power-Flo Technologies safety procedures.
- Maintain Power-Flo Technologies quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience specifically in winding AC/DC electric motor stators.
- Familiar with various hand tools.
- Familiar with power tools such as impact guns, cut off wheels, and drills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move more than 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Must have a valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching.
- You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery.
