About the Role
Conifer Park is seeking a Dietary Assistant to support food service operations in Glenville, NY. This role is crucial for maintaining sanitary food service stations, ensuring proper food storage, and delivering meals to patients.
Responsibilities
- Sets up food service and sanitation stations in the kitchen and Dining Room.
- Ensures stock is stored under proper conditions.
- Cleans, rotates, and organizes storage areas.
- Assembles and delivers supplies/trays to admissions, crisis unit, and patient care units.
- Follows labeling and dating procedures.
- Adheres to portion control guidelines and uses appropriate serving utensils.
- Completes and signs off on daily assignments.
- Cleans and maintains the 3-compartment sink/dish machine.
- Sets up, breaks down, and cleans for special functions.
- Assists other Dietary Staff as needed.
- Assists in the orientation and training of new hires.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in food service and/or food preparation.
- Vocational/Technical school in a related field.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Background checks, pre-employment & drug screenings required.
