Responsibilities
- Take proper food and equipment temperatures.
- Receive and verify incoming food, paper, chemicals, and supply orders for accuracy and missing or damaged items.
- Follow up on the status of missing items and delivery expectations.
- Pursue missing product by traveling to the local grocery store or another on-campus unit.
- Dispose of product that is past serviceability.
- Unload all deliveries in a timely manner to ensure proper safe food temperatures.
- Place items in the proper storage area in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Rotate all product to ensure first in is first out.
- Pull product from storage, freezers, and coolers to meet production needs.
- Stock localized work areas from larger storage areas.
- Conduct inventories by accurately counting product on hand.
- Deliver in-stock items, cash, or paperwork to other campus locations.
- Assist with maintaining the MSDS notebook.
- Ensure the safety of CO2 tanks and restock CO2 and beverage product as needed.
- Remove trash developed from unloading boxes and containers.
- Clean loading dock, coolers, and storage areas including floors and shelving areas.
- Use commercial strength chemicals to clean, sanitize, and polish.
- Perform fryer maintenance processes such as changing oil, filtering, boiling out, and deep cleaning.
- Assist with opening and closing duties such as security and physical setup.
- Shovel snow and salt doorways and loading dock entrances.
- Assist in other areas with food preparation duties as needed.
- Take ownership for the workstation utilizing student employee support.
- Safely operate all Company vehicles.
- Review and report vehicle wear and items in need of repair.
- Routinely clean areas and ASC vehicles.
- Perform user vehicle maintenance including replacement of gasoline and wiper fluids.
- May deliver vehicle to maintenance service providers for repairs and maintenance.
- Report any obstructions or safety concerns regarding physical locations of delivery or receiving.
Requirements
- Lift once a day to 10 times a week 75 lbs.
- Stand for entire shift.
- Stoop, bend, push, pull throughout a shift.
- Lift 50 lbs. routinely.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
- May require the legal right and ability to drive a company vehicle.
- Driver's license must not have any high-risk factors as defined by the Company's vehicle insurance company.
Skills
- Computing skills to make cash change, take inventory, create # of pieces for a portion by performing adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
- Ability to read on a level to comprehend product labels, recipes and safety instructions.
- Ability to interact with customers, coworkers, and vendors in a diplomatic manner.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a variety of locations and determine the order and sequence with limited daily supervisory direction.
