About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be embedded with manufacturing customers and internal production teams to ensure the successful implementation and operation of Cerebro in real plant environments. This hands-on role focuses on the intersection of AI technology, manufacturing operations, and customer success, with success measured by reliable production deployments, measurable line improvements, and high customer adoption.
Responsibilities
- Embed with customer manufacturing sites and internal production teams to understand workflows, constraints, data sources, and use cases for Cerebro.
- Conduct site visits and technical assessments, translating observations into working solutions, prototypes, and production deployments.
- Design, customize, integrate, and deploy Cerebro applications into live manufacturing environments, managing data connections, system integrations, reliability, and edge cases.
- Collaborate with manufacturing leads and stakeholders using practical problem-solving approaches to identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvements.
- Own the reliability and stability of Cerebro solutions post-deployment, troubleshooting in production, iterating quickly, and ensuring robustness.
- Drive adoption through hands-on training, enablement, and partnership with operators and supervisors.
- Capture field feedback, edge cases, and product gaps, communicating them to Data Science, Analytics, and product/engineering teams.
- Contribute to streamlining deployment processes, automating training/support, and building reusable patterns for scalability.
- Prepare technical and business artifacts to align customers and internal teams on realistic outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in an engineering, technical, or operational role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to break down complex issues, gather data, and drive practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working with all levels of personnel.
- High ownership mentality and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel for site visits and hands-on deployments.
